Three siblings, Maria, Ellie, and Leo, share a living room but exist in separate digital worlds. When Maria leaves to run errands, the internet cuts out, forcing Ellie and Leo offline.

The film transitions from cold, isolated blue tones that reflect digital distraction into warmer orange tones that represent the non-digital world. What made this project different was working collaboratively with a DP while I stepped into the director role, which helped me see the story through a more experienced eye and stay focused on what the film needed visually, not just what looked good technically.

I'm actively improving my colour grading skills, but if I had the same brief again, I would bring a dedicated colourist on board to collaborate closely and reach the exact look I had in mind. Working with a composer for the first time added another layer and reminded me how important collaboration is when building a complete world.

Unlike earlier projects, we built in a proper prep day. We walked through the entire shoot in advance, mapped out each shot, and planned each lighting setup. That preparation made the shoot day smoother and kept the work focused. Having that time to plan removed a lot of guesswork on set and let the collaboration between myself as director and the DP happen more naturally.
